More about this book - Monkeys of the Amazon
A beautifully told story of some very secretive primates illustrated with outstanding photographs
The diversity of Amazonian monkeys is staggering; to date 209 species have been identified. These enchanting creatures range in size from the Pygmy Marmosets, weighing just 115 grams to the largest Humboldt’s Wooly which can weigh up to 10 kilos. Mostly they live, well camouflaged, high in the thick tangled vegetation of the rainforest and are seldom seen. The photographer and writer, Nick Gordon, lived in the Amazonian region for long periods and spend five years getting to know and understand these fascinating little monkeys. His vivid words and wonderful pictures tell an enchanting story.
