More about this book
The perfect guide for those seeking adventure in the great outdoors. Stunning photography.
Namibia, named after the Nabib Desert, is a sparsely populated country, much of which remains inaccessible. Comprised of sand and rock which make a mosaic of primitive landscapes, it has a feeling of the beginning of time. The Nabib, the world’s oldest desert, having been formed some 80 million years ago, occupies 2000 kilometres along the country’s entire Atlantic coast and reaches inland for around 150 kilometres. Not apparently, then, the ideal environment for wildlife and yet, as the authors show, there is an abundant variety to be found and the landscapes are a photographer’s dream. In addition to the text and stunning images are practical hints for travel within the country and tips on when and where to get the best photographs.
