Nick Gordon
When Nick Gordon died in 2004, while filming in Venezuela, he was regarded as one of the world’s finest wildlife photographers and filmmakers. His particular passion was for the Amazonian region of Brazil both for the natural habitat, the wildlife and the indigenous peoples. He spent over seven years of his life there specifically filming the life of the elusive Jaguar which resulting in the ITV documentary; Jaguar – Eater of Souls. While there he also developed a great love for the little monkeys of the region; the Marmosets, Tamarins and Spider monkeys.
Nick made many documentaries and won numerous awards for his work including; Best film at the International Animal Film Festival in Europe 1994 and Best Science and Nature Film at Tele-Science 2000 Film Festival in Montreal. He was also the author of five wildlife books.
