Jonathan Bird
Jonathan Bird is a professional underwater cinematographer and photographer. He has shot and produced over 20 films which have appeared on such networks as National Geographic, PBS, PBS, ABC, USA Network, Discovery and even the SciFi Channel. His work has been recognised with two Emmy awards and two Cine Golden Eagles. He has authored six other books, including Wildlife Monographs-Sharks for EMBooks and has been the principal photographer on many others and written articles and supplied images for numerous magazines..
Formerly an adjunct professor in the broadcasting department at the New England Institute of Art and Communications he left in 1994 to become a full time nature photographer, specialising in the underwater world, Sharks, Whales and Dolphins being his favourite subjects.
