Jonathan Scott
Presenter, author and photographer Jonathan Scott is the author of more than 20 books, latterly co-written with his award-winning photographer wife Angela. Their joint works include Antarctica: Exploring a Fragile Eden, Mara-Serengeti: A Photographer’s Paradise and three previous Big Cat Diary books, each focusing on a single species: Lion, Leopard and Cheetah.
In addition to Big Cat Diary, Jonathan has presented many wildlife programmes for American television, as well as the BBC series Dawn to Dusk and the live specials Africa Watch and Flamingo Watch. More recently he has co-presented Elephant Diary and Big Bear Diary and narrated Chimpanzee Diary.
Angela Scott was born and raised in Africa. Her love of Africa’s wild places, photography and art has found the perfect outlet since she met Jonathan. Sharing their enthusiasm for East Africa, its people and its wildlife, they work as a highly productive team. They are both previous winners of the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award, the first couple to achieve this feat as individuals.
